Ok Nerbsti72
I have 4.31 with VS2012 now. The blink test works but this still gives me a white backlight of death. I looked at schematics and also tried setting it to SPI module 2.
I'm surprised it worked out of the box for you..

If we have a N+3, I'd like to see built in HDMI with a driver chip for fast performance while keeping the code as native as possible.

Title says it all. The only link I found was broken. Wanted it for VS2012.
#61654 Netduino 2 Firmware v4.3.1
Posted by david98xp on 19 February 2015 - 06:19 AM in Netduino 2 (and Netduino 1)
Hey chris. I'm having trouble installing the 4.3 SDK. I'm running 4.3 on my N2. I deleted the old 4.2SDK. I can't install the "WIX" 4.3 sdk.
#61562 How to update my Netduino 2?
Posted by david98xp on 08 February 2015 - 05:37 AM in Netduino 2 (and Netduino 1)
Hi David,
You can update your Netduino 2 board to 4.3.1 firmware using the firmware here (see attachment to first post):
http://forums.netdui...-firmware-v431/
On your computer, you'll want to install the 4.3.1 SDK on each VS2012 or VS2013.
VS2012 SDK instructions:
http://forums.netdui...vs2012-support/
VS2013 SDK instructions:
http://forums.netdui...o-2013-support/
Chris
Thanks! I'm gonna assume 4.3 still works with V C# 2010....
#61548 How to update my Netduino 2?

So how to I update my N2 from 4.2 to 4.3? What tools do I need? How can I get my Visual Studio version to 4.3?

Juzzer's watch actually seems cool. I''d kickstart it.
Oh and Chris, I'd like you to try find some ways to make everything a single standard. I'm pulling my hair out getting a simple LCD to work from Fabien's NP1 to my N2. If there's a netduino 3, stick to chips that are VERY similar because I hate having to read schematics to find the correct SPI module.

I'm running 4.2. Here are the photos of wiring and the "result".

How do you upload anyway

Thanks but it didin't work. Even when I tried setting it to SPI module 2(according to the N2 schematics). I'm surprised it worked out of the box. Maybe it was designed only for the PLUS. I don't know what else I must do to get the lcd working on this hardware.

I have this thread on GHI and am trying to get my netduino 2 working with my glcd(st7565).
Almost all info you need is there.
Help me fix fabien's driver so something will come up on my lcd. There is also a onedrive link you can check out.
#61433 Things we can learn from GHI
Posted by david98xp on 02 February 2015 - 04:32 AM in General Discussion
I'm not going to lie, GHI has a much better community. Why?
- Trained experts supporting new comers VERY well.
- A very reliable Gadgeteer production.
- Many members can show their custom made parts.
- Their "Codeshare" is a brillient place for Drivers.
- Though not as open source, good structure and gameplan.
I hope we can all learn from this.

This is amazing. The sad truth is it COULD stop me using netduino.
#61394 NETMF 4.3 QFE1 R2 SDK is now out of beta

Well I'm looking for help(still) with my GLCD and have had problems on the newer hardware and framework. Maybe I might give 4.3 a try but only if it has relieble universal support so I don't need to port code.
#61393 crash coarse on developing drivers for displays
Posted by david98xp on 28 January 2015 - 12:11 AM in General Discussion
I too was jeaous of the Arduino community as with many people, things are much easier.
I'd like to team carry the community but I'm new.
Chris Walker,
I was wondering if you teach me a crash coarse on developing drivers for displays(places like adafruit) so I can actually be of help to netduino.

#61216 Is my Nerduino dead?

Is there any program loaded? Try delete it or write a simple blink.
Maybe it could be the LED. See if the pins work.

On my netduino 2 with 4.2 I've finally ported Fabien Royer's netduino helpers from 4.1 to 4.2 for my ST7565 lcd. VS deployed it successfully eventually. Nothing happens in the sample application but a white backlight. Is the driver corrupt on the newer gen netduino's?

Nope no bridge but at the mean time I'm focusing on the lcd pixels.

Ah yes, very well. I sent it into the Onedrive folder via my Windows Phone. Hope that's got what you'll need.

I'm using a N2. I am on 4.2 and ported everything and deleted most things I wouldn't use. It deploys good but only a white backlight comes on while nothing is shown on screen.
My display is also the negative rgb one.

Ok I updated it on the onedrive link. It has no deployment errors. The problem is that the white backlight turns on but nothing happens from then on. I'm pretty darn sure I wired it up correctly. My soldering skills are beginner but everything looks connected vividly.
