#60944 The GoBus Upgrade

Posted by david98xp on 11 December 2014 - 06:01 AM in Netduino Go

Don't know if you know but this was one of the few things that turned Fabian off Secret Labs. He mentions you promised to create an Ethernet module for the GO. Also he doesn't like how the Agent watch is still not up for sale yet.

I respect you but I'm asking you to do your best to get him back. Fabian Royer is a genius and his contributions made to the .NET MF were priceless!

Cheers Chris!

I'm not a real GO user but the fact that it ticked Fabien Royer off, it feels that the.net MF is not as powerful. I'd like to inherit skills so I can support peoples projects but we need promises fulfilled first.

#61654 Netduino 2 Firmware v4.3.1

Posted by david98xp on 19 February 2015 - 06:19 AM in Netduino 2 (and Netduino 1)

Hey chris. I'm having trouble installing the 4.3 SDK. I'm running 4.3 on my N2. I deleted the old 4.2SDK. I can't install the "WIX" 4.3 sdk.

#61802 raspberry pi 2

Posted by david98xp on 08 March 2015 - 03:53 AM in General Discussion

If we have a N+3, I'd like to see built in HDMI with a driver chip for fast performance while keeping the code as native as possible.

This is amazing. The sad truth is it COULD stop me using netduino.

#60121 Building custom Netduino Mini

Posted by david98xp on 15 September 2014 - 10:23 PM in Netduino Mini

Ok so I'd like to build my own .net dev board. How was the netduino mini built?

What is the exact ARM Atmel chip used and how can I make it run a.net just like netduino?

#61954 Creating a custom board with Netduino firmware?

Cool board! Place nice with SPI? What version of N2 firmware? 4.3?

#61519 Things we can learn from GHI

Posted by david98xp on 04 February 2015 - 09:06 PM in General Discussion

Juzzer's watch actually seems cool. I''d kickstart it.

Oh and Chris, I'd like you to try find some ways to make everything a single standard. I'm pulling my hair out getting a simple LCD to work from Fabien's NP1 to my N2. If there's a netduino 3, stick to chips that are VERY similar because I hate having to read schematics to find the correct SPI module.

#61433 Things we can learn from GHI

Posted by david98xp on 02 February 2015 - 04:32 AM in General Discussion

I'm not going to lie, GHI has a much better community. Why?

  1. Trained experts supporting new comers VERY well.
  2. A very reliable Gadgeteer production.
  3. Many members can show their custom made parts.
  4. Their "Codeshare" is a brillient place for Drivers.
  5. Though not as open source, good structure and gameplan.

I hope we can all learn from this.

#60552 Netduino Mini 2 being designed?

Posted by david98xp on 27 October 2014 - 06:23 AM in Netduino Mini

I was wondering a NM2 was under development yet.

Do you think it'll support built-in micro-USB? Will it be STM32 or Atmel?

#60591 Netduino Mini 2 being designed?

Posted by david98xp on 01 November 2014 - 01:49 AM in Netduino Mini

Thank you Chris! Yes, I agree the mini is great for embedded projects. The AGENT smartwatch inspires me to use a NetMini.

The thing that actually attracted me to the AGENT that it runs .NET so it is great for my Windows Phone.

#60808 Anyone used a ST7565 GLCD????

Posted by david98xp on 28 November 2014 - 02:01 AM in General Discussion

Has anyone used a ST7565 with their netduino? I'm stuck and I'm a noob. Could anyone help me get started with the libraries and a simple demo? The wire up is basic enough as it is.

I'm desperate.

#61505 Help me out with SPI Please.

Posted by david98xp on 04 February 2015 - 04:46 AM in Netduino 2 (and Netduino 1)

Thanks but it didin't work. Even when I tried setting it to SPI module 2(according to the N2 schematics). I'm surprised it worked out of the box. Maybe it was designed only for the PLUS. I don't know what else I must do to get the lcd working on this hardware.

#61478 Help me out with SPI Please.

Posted by david98xp on 03 February 2015 - 12:18 AM in Netduino 2 (and Netduino 1)

I have this thread on GHI and am trying to get my netduino 2 working with my glcd(st7565).

Almost all info you need is there.

Help me fix fabien's driver so something will come up on my lcd. There is also a onedrive link you can check out.

Ok Nerbsti72

I have 4.31 with VS2012 now. The blink test works but this still gives me a white backlight of death. I looked at schematics and also tried setting it to SPI module 2.

I'm surprised it worked out of the box for you..

#61018 Netduinohelpers - graphic LCD

Posted by david98xp on 18 December 2014 - 10:10 PM in Netduino Plus 2 (and Netduino Plus 1)

I'm using a N2. I am on 4.2 and ported everything and deleted most things I wouldn't use. It deploys good but only a white backlight comes on while nothing is shown on screen.

My display is also the negative rgb one.

#61773 Can't download 4.3 SDK qefi1

Title says it all. The only link I found was broken. Wanted it for VS2012.

#60894 Help! Backwards compatability!

Posted by david98xp on 07 December 2014 - 05:30 AM in Beta Firmware and Drivers

I have a netduino 2 with the MF version 4.2. I also have a negative ST7565 LCD. I'm trying to run Fabian Royer's sample app: Netduinohelpers.codeplex.com

The problem is that I can't run it as it's written with MF 4.1.

I tried changing the targeted version under project properties now it come up with these "Check Device hardware" issue.

Help/Fix is needed urgently!

#60901 Help! Backwards compatability!

Posted by david98xp on 07 December 2014 - 06:16 PM in Beta Firmware and Drivers

That's exactly what I've done but then their is like one of two more issues.
"check device hardware" or something. My best guess is it's a newer version of hardware as well.

#60905 Help! Backwards compatability!

Posted by david98xp on 08 December 2014 - 04:42 AM in Beta Firmware and Drivers

Forgive me Chris but I'm 14 and this is my first netduino. I have had a good experience with VB.net and a little c#. How do I check the version and tell it about the new hardware.

Ok, it's a clean 4.2. Now what?
