Is the Netduino2 Source code for the 4.3 version available somewhere? I need to compile a firmware with the EnableGCMessages turned on.

Would love to get my hands on the source for 4.3 as well, also the source for 4.2.2.2 would be great, the one on the downloads page according to the *.settings file is 4.2.2.1.

Just sharing a couple bits of information ...
The Netduino will not go into bootloader mode if you have it connected to a power supply.
The DfuSe Demonstrator would not run on my Windows 8 machine, however I was able to update the firmware using the DFU Testor. After you've done the Erase step click "Load DFU File" and then select the DFU file. Once the file is loaded select the "Upload" radio button and then click Go.

After many testing and coding, : the 4.3 is extremely reliable. There are some points that need attention (to be solved in the release) but overall 4.3 beta is as steady as a rock.

Are there any variation on simultaneous sockets number? Multicast?

Thank you, it works (apparently) perfectly!
The interface is not exactly the same than the one you described but it's not to difficult to understand

Hi all,
Just wanted to mention that I got my hands on my first Netduino today and decided to upgrade straight out of the box. All went very smooth and having great fun with it. Thought I would mention that in order to get the STDFU app working on Windows 7 x64, with VS 2012, I needed to install the Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86).

Sorry if that's already been mentioned somewhere, but I found it out the hard way and wanted to share.

Is there any update on when we're likely to see the update to .NET MF 4.3?
Cheers
You mean besides the beta software already released? You can use 4.3 in beta form today on Netduino 1 and 2. Chris has stated that the Go will get 4.3 when .NETMF releases 4.3 QFE1.

Okay, bad phrasing on my part.
When will we see QFE1, I've got an irritating bug I'm hoping it fixes.

Chris, when can we expect the QFE1? Why does it take so long? Are you waiting for Microsoft to release something?
Please let us know something.

Yes, please let us know.
You know that the 4.2 network layer is not completely reliable. We really want to use NP2 plus in business environment, but it's not possible right now without LWIP.
Thank you

HiChris for me it is important to have updates for the Netduino plus 2, for use it in various projects. Currently I have to use other platforms because I have not enough support for the NP2. it is not possible that since February the firmware is still in beta 1.

+1 on needed support and updates. I jumped on netduino plus 2 for the promising power and features, although small issues here and there made the completion of the projects quasi-impossible. I still think it has potential, although it's easy to see that the focus has been taken away from these products.

BugVito -- what issues are you experiencing? We're actively tracking and fixing bugs for Netduino Plus 2. Right now the only critical issues we have in our tracking system are related to the .NET MF 4.3 beta.
3103BC68CC83, cranberry, m.lai -- the Netduino 4.3 beta 1 firmware is release-ready. We're just waiting on .NET MF 4.3 QFE1 (with two critical bugfixes) from Microsoft, and then we can just plug in our existing source and we should be ready to move to RTM. We're really looking forward to this production-ready version of NETMF 4.3.
JJJ -- the newer version of lwIP in NETMF 4.3 is the #1 reason we're excited to upgrade from 4.2. It includes a lot of bugfixes to the lwIP networking stack. We're using .NET MF 4.3 in commercial products here at Secret Labs so testing and bugfixes we make on those will continue to benefit Netduino in many ways as well.
Chris
Thank you Chris.
So what do you suggest: to start using 4.3 beta1 in a commercial product or to wait the RTM one (with the QFE1)?
As you understood my main problem is only the lwIP reliability, the board is perfect for the commercial/industrial use.
Thank you
Gerardo

Until NETMF 4.3 QFE1 ships... Chris
That's the first I've heard of a coming 4.3 QFE1 release from Microsoft. It's been over 10 months since anything was updated on netmf.codeplex.com. Can you ask someone over at MS to at least give us a little blog post about 4.3 QFE1 so we know they are alive over there...

There will be a firmware version 4.3 for Netduino Plus (not 2) ?
