Today LED's, tomorrow, the world!!! Well, OK, maybe servos. #23Posted 27 September 2010 - 04:04 AM
Watching the formula 1 grand prix this morning, and browsing this forum at the same time (1:30 AM!), noted that little bird electronics had 4 'pluses' in stock and thought 'I'll pick one up when I get to work'...
Of course by the time I arrived at work they were oall sold out bugger!
#24Posted 27 September 2010 - 07:44 AM UAM Czech Republic has currently 10 pieces on the way (already in Prague, so they will be on stock soon), for ~8.5€ shipping to the Netherlands. #25Posted 27 September 2010 - 09:35 AM
Hi! Thanks for the tip! I just ordered mine at www.proto-advantage.com so it's on its way. #26Posted 27 September 2010 - 01:46 PM
@Chris - you mentioned in your other post that the Plus's sold out over the weekend... will MakerShed be selling any on their website? Or are folks who didn't attend the MakerFaire out of luck on buying one in the US?

There might be. There was a delivery delay on Proto-Advantage's Netduino Pluses and I think they cautiously listed a few fewer Netduino Pluses for sale than they were allocated. They ship to both Canada and the United States. I would write them and ask if they have any left. If they do, it'll just be a few--but that's your best bet. I think MakerSHED pretty much sold all of theirs at MakerFaire NY over the weekend. Chris #28Posted 27 September 2010 - 01:57 PM
(I wish there was a crying icon). I would have bought from Proto if I'd known Maker was going to sell them on their site. The Plus would have been perfect for the presentation I'm doing end of October. I'll call Proto and see if they happen to have any left in stock... Maybe I can scrounge on up that way.

That shipping charge from Australia is a killer! I didn't want to risk missing out though, so I sucked it up and shelled out the $90 for shipping... Now, hopefully it will arrive on this side of the world in a reasonable time frame.

You guys should have emailed the forum members on these first. We are the most active on the project and have the most to contribute.
I almost made the trip to NY Maker Faire. It was still an 8 hour drive for me.

About the same for me... but I had plans already, and couldn't get away. I'm still trying to hunt down a Netduino Plus w/out paying a fortune in shipping...

Hi ThreadAbort, I posted a message on Wednesday to try to give 48 hours notice to the community members (so they could get first priority). We didn't want people to feel like we were spamming them by sending them an e-mail--but perhaps we should create an opt-in list for these sorts of things? Last Wednesday's post Thank you for your contributions and your enthusiasm. Did you give Proto-Advantage a call to see if there were any extras in their allocation batch? Chris #35Posted 27 September 2010 - 07:11 PM
Proto Advantage has them "on backorder" and have 12 available starting tomorrow (I ordered one). Hopefully nobody beats me to it... I tried contacting MakerShed, but got no response yet... so went with Proto.

@Secret Labs Staff, any hopes getting Netduino Plus into Switzerland shops soon?
#38Posted 28 September 2010 - 06:35 PM
I just ordered it from proto advantage at 10:30 this morning. It shipped at 1:45.
It's definately in stock.

To follow up on this, Proto-Advantage had originally listed 12 fewer Netduino Pluses for sale than they received. There was a shipping/delivery delay and they didn't know exactly how many they'd be getting...
Anyway, if they do have one or two left... Now's the time to grab them. They're "local" to the USA and Canada, but I understand that they ship worldwide as well.

I just bought the 'last' one from Proto-advantage (their site shows no stock now) I guess it redresses some of the imbalance from the US based people ordering from Little Bird Electronics 1 user(s) are reading this topic0 members, 1 guests, 0 anonymous users | ||||||||||||||
