Hi Gears,
you might want to have a look at http://www.ghielectronics.com/downloads/FEZ/Component/Broch_Relay16Board.pdf
You need to connect through I2C though, you may search the forum for this to get into the techno stuff about. Just needs a few wires and is expandible up to 8 boards. Works fine on my device, but that's a FEZ Panda-II or Cobra device.
