Fast mode I²C-bus with netduino?

01 December 2010 - 04:16 PM

First of all, I am completely new to this hardware related stuff so please bare with me. I would like to use the netduino to communicate with a device which uses a "1 MHz Fast-mode Plus (fm+) I²C-bus interface". I read "Fm+ devices offer higher frequency (up to 1 MHz)" but I am not sure if this is supported by the netduino "two wire interface" (which I assume is the equivalent of the I²C interface?) or if the "fm+ interface" is backwards compatible. Any info on this is appreciated, thanks in advance.
