I'm building HID devices (that communicate directly with Windows 8.1 using the inbox drivers that ship with the OS). It's my understanding that the 4.1.1.0 beta versions of the firmware are the only versions that support the creation of these devices.

 

If I'm wrong, and the more recent firmware versions support the creation of HID devices, it'd be great news. But, if not, the earlier versions are working well.

This worked like a champ! (I'm able to deploy now to the Netduino over RS232. Had completely forgotten about the need to use MFDeploy to alter the deployment settings.)

Is driverless USB communication (via HID) supported on the Netduino 2 or Netduino 2 Plus? (Or, is it only working on the v1 boards? And, if the latter, are there plans to support it on the v2 boards?)

I'll probably implement the software "smoothing" -- similar to what you'd done. (I'd noticed other postings since my original post and it appears that the issue is fairly common and the workaround is to take an average of the readings.)
