Hi All,
My names, Ollie (aka: Pr09het), I'm an IT Admin in the UK.
I've done a bit with arduino; ethernet shield with dhcp and pachube, weather station, sonar etc, but now I thought I should have a look at the, growing in popularity, netduino!
I've brought the plus, got it all plugged in, installed all the pre-req's (C# etc) and that's about where I'm up to
Where is the best place to start?
Looking also at controlling my ipad and integrating that with the netduino or arduino but not really getting anywhere with that, if anyone has any tips or has done it...
Kind regards,
Ollie

Control the iPad with the Netduino or the Netduino from the iPad? I think the best way would be to look at using a web site of some for to start with. There are a few around in the project Showcase forum. There are a few examples around of using the Netduino+ as either a data logger or as a controller for a circuit. NeonMika Webserver seems to be getting some attention at the moment,

Hi Ollie,
How about controlling a set of servos and digital I/O from the I-Pad using a direct WiFi link.
I don't (won't) have an I-Pad or I-Pod, but I'm sure there are lots of others on the Forums who do, and would love to see a project that allows them to control their boat, buggy, brewery, coffee pot, fishtank, heating system, etc. from an I-Thing.
Whatever you do, remember it is supposed to be fun - Paul

Thanks both!
Yeah I'm looking at web-based controlling, was looking at a direct connection but the ipad is a pain in the arse because you have to put certain resistors on certain pins so it knows what it's doing.
I got the 'Getting Started with the Internet of Things' book and flicked through that last night, going to have a proper read over next few days.
My first project was setting up my LCD on the netduino:

Took me a while to work out how to debug and upload!

It took me a bit to make the transition from arduino to netduino as well. You will soon love using the much better complier and debugger.
