If my Netduino registers as a USB controller when I plug it in, but won't ping in MFDeploy, is there any way to revive it? I don't think I did anything to fry it. No smoke or smell. Any ideas?

Hi Bendage, Try erasing your current Netduino app. Press and hold the pushbutton while plugging it into your PC. Then press "ERASE" in MFDeploy within 2 seconds. Finally, unplug and reattach. Does that fix things for you? Chris

Hi Chris, I read your post too late. I erased it with the gold pin, added the booter and now I want to put the current production firware back on (4.1). I cannot find where to browse to find ER_Config and ER_Flash and all I find on the site is Firmware source which does not have it. Where is the compiled 4.1 firmware located? Also, after adding bootloader and unplugging my Netduino and plugging it back in and running MFDepoly, now it shows my board as a Plus when its a regular Netduino. How did that happen? how to fix? Thanks!

Ya found it thanks. Ok so I have reflashed like 4 times and every time it recognizes my plus as a reg Netduino. Even under Project properties. But if I add the plus references it works. Just to check I flashed my regular Netduino (getting good at it now). First time it ironically recognized it as a Plus! I'm not crazy. Reflashed it again and a third time and both times it came up as a regular Netduino again. But the Plus keeps showing a regular Netduino under MFDeploy and project settings. So weird. Why? Also is it normal when you "Gold zap" it for it to be recognoized as a GPS Camera under Win 7 32 bit drivers?

Yes, those are the default drivers that Windows finds for the USB VID/PID used by Atmel SAM-BA. I normally switch to the Atmel-provided drivers, but if it's working for you I'd recommend leaving that as-is :)

Regarding the other issue, your Netduino Plus will be recognized as a Netduino if you flashed the "regular Netduino" firmware to it. Did you reflash your Netduino Plus?

Duh! My apologies. I did not realize there were dif firmwares for dif boards. I found it in the Plus section right where it should be. Final question on Firmware. Upgrading to 4.2... Install 4.2 RTM Uninstall old SDK Install new SDK Is there a 4.2 Firmware for these boards? If so where are they? Thank you for all your help. Sometimes the obvious is not so obvious.

Not a problem!

The 4.2 firmware is still in beta, but you can find it in the "Beta Firmware and Drivers" forum:

Sweet! Thank you so much. It's been a long Netduino weekend. Boards are updated and now I know where all the files I need in the future. Your efforts will not be in vain. I will be contributing soon once my Micro controller IQ gets up to par with my C#. Cheers! Brian
