#18307 Mobile turret system

Posted by ScottyG on 22 September 2011 - 03:33 AM in Netduino Plus 2 (and Netduino Plus 1)

Hey Michael, I think we are heading in the direction. I built a pan tilt but used 200 step stepping motors, attached a laser pointer and took a long exposure photo. The conclusion for me is that i will not get the resolution i need with these motors in a simple pan tilt configuration. If you are mounting a spotlight i assume that you are looking far into the distance, perhaps you may not get the resolution you need either.

#18306 Selecting a RC car for Netduino Conversion

Posted by ScottyG on 22 September 2011 - 02:09 AM in Project Showcase

Great Information. I picked up a super cheep RC that has no steering but the collection of transistors controlling the forward and reverse from the RX-3 type IC is a great puzzle that i intend to make use of. So steering will be a spare stepping motor i have. When i out grow my $5 RC ill get back. Thanks I love your rig Jim. When i get where you are i intend to mount a cam and navigate from the video stream.

#18305 Bare Bones I2CDevice Example

Posted by ScottyG on 22 September 2011 - 01:47 AM in General Discussion

I have not been able to get any activity on the I2C pins. I was hoping that someone could give me a simple but complete code example of turning analog pins 4-5: I2C SDA, SCL on/high using the inbuilt I2CDevice class. Thank you!!!

#17643 Selecting a RC car for Netduino Conversion

Posted by ScottyG on 06 September 2011 - 06:26 AM in Project Showcase

Hey, I'm thinking that buying a cheep RC car/4x4 would be a good base for a unmanned project. I just want to ask if any one has any comments on the RC to NetDuino conversion. Should i cut everything out except the motors? Should i be integrating with the existing electronics?
