I do, but they are all Windows 8, x64. I suppose it could be the USB ports though. I tried a second Netduino that I have and it looks ok, so it's not the USB cable anyway.

#44911 Is my Netduino fried?

Hi Arian, If the device appears as "GPS Camera Detect" when you plug it in, it's likely fine. That means that it's booting into the Atmel SAM-BA bootloader. Are you running the latest SAM-BA (2.12 with patches)? If so, I would also try "uninstall driver and remove it from my computer" on the "GPS Camera Detect" device. Chris
I had to manually assign it the GPS Camera Detect driver (based on other forum posts). When I uninstall and delete drivers, then plug it back in again, I go back to unknown device. I can download and install the GPS Camera Detect drivers again, but the device still won't start.
#44907 Is my Netduino fried?

I had troubles with updating my Netduino on Windows 8 x64 and ended up shorting the gold dot and 3v to reflash the firmware. I can't seem to do anything with it now. When I plug it in with the reset switch down, then select the GPS Camera Detect driver, it installs but says that the device can't start (code 10). Of course from there I can't do anything else. Is there anything else I can try to even get it a COM port to update with Sam-ba or is that enough info to indicate that it's fried?
I should also point out that this is on multiple USB ports, and not through a USB hub. Also, I find it interesting that Device Manager shows the hardware ID as USBDEVICE_DESCRIPTOR_FAILURE. Maybe that's normal before the driver is installed though...
#39378 Netduino 1 Firmware v4.2.0 (update 1)

Are you running the latest version of SAM-BA (2.12+)?
Have you tried rebooting your PC, unplugging and reattaching the board, and then running SAM-BA again?
Yes to all of the above.
