#45058 Safe Way to power netduino with 5v Regulated Supply

Posted by Caconway on 07 February 2013 - 06:12 AM in Netduino Plus 2 (and Netduino Plus 1)

I honestly don't know. I saw somewhere that you can power it with 7.5 to 9v on the vin pin but what I'm wanting to do is power it from a 5v regulated supply but be able to safely connect a USB cable. Is it safe to power it from the 5v pin and still connect a USB cable without using the vin pin? Or how would I go about doing this? By the way this is for netduino plus 2

#45046 Safe Way to power netduino with 5v Regulated Supply

Is there a safe way to power a netduino plus with a 5v regulated supply that will not cause problems when a usb cable is connected?

#35092 Go Shieldbase and Ethernet module question

Posted by Caconway on 13 September 2012 - 04:43 AM in General Discussion

I've been roaming the forums for a little while now and I see that an ethernet module may be on the horizon? I just ordered a main board and shieldbase to play with, I've used an arduino for a while but I wanted to try the netduino as my primary language is C#. Would like to know when the Ethernet module might be out, I see that the SD module is supposed to ship on the 29th and would also like to know if the shieldbase supports SPI or if it will in the near future and also what is the maximum size and format for the sd card? The project I have planed requires the SD, and ethernet modules and spi on the shieldbase would be nice too. Thanks for the help and I look forward to receiving my order tomorrow hopefully!
