Quick question about LCD display on NP1

Im using the Adafruit LCD shield kit on my NP1(I2C). I ran the sample code (the one that displays up, down, left, right, and toggles 0 to 1) and it works well as expected. however if i leave it running for approx. 10 hours or more i get random characters on my LCD display scrolling across. Is there a way to lock down my registers to prevent this error, or any other method that will prevent this? Thanks!

Netduino Plus 2 i2c issue

I have my adafruit lcd shield working via i2c on the NP1, I got the NP2 in today, and its not working. im getting power but no communication. the NP1 uses pins 4 and 5 for i2c. i tried those pins on the NP2 as well as the designated SC and SD pins and i get nothing. Im semi new to coding, and any advice/help will help. Thanks guys!

Im using my Netduino Plus to measure temperature values every second from a thermistor and display them on the output console in Visual Studios, when a hook up my LCD shield (5 volts) via I2C on top of the board my values drop to nearly half. Any advice/solution would be much helpful. Thanks!!
