USB and SD questions

23 January 2011 - 06:13 PM

I am new to the Netduino platform. We are considering it for a logger project. I understand that the Netduino can be mounted as a storage device when it is plugged into the PC, so it is possible to access the files on the SD card. Is that correct? Ideally we would like to be able to access the files on the SD card and at the same time be able to communicate with the chip and get live data from the sensors. Is that possible? Can the virtual serial port be used at the same time as the device is mounted as a storage device? /lars

Fast deployment

23 January 2011 - 05:15 PM

I am new to the Netduino platform. We are considering using it for a commercial data logger project where we need to produce a hundred units. I am wondering whether there is a way to efficiently deploy a program to many units? With the Arduino for instance there you can make a .hex file and then deploy that over ICSP. Is there a similar approach that can be used for fast deployment on the netduino platform? /lars
