Best practice for measuring time with out of box netduino

13 February 2011 - 08:23 PM

I've got an out of the box Netduino Plus, I know how to code C#, and I want some sort of time system without buying anything else. What is the best practice of time tracking given the constraints of this platform? One implementation I can think of is.. -Start a thread and use Thread.Sleep to raise events or execute code at certain intervals? But I'm wondering if there are better way to implement such a system (more reliable, more efficent, smaller code size etc.) At the moment I don't think I need absolute time, I just want some sort of relative system. Thanks
