Do you have any other nice idea what could be realized with an Netduino?

if you want your students to also read/learn from the firmware source...?
No !.
I only want to use a board like this for some simple tasks like:
- a DCF77 clock
- an electronic keylock using a matrix keyboard (3x4 keymatrix, LCD)
- a radio clock (MP3 player (VS1053B chip), radio (Silicon Labs chip), clock function, touchpanel)
- reformatting NMEA strings from a GPS receiver

Hi Stefan,
well I´want to order some boards (Not only Arduino like boards, also DSP boards) for some Trainees, Bachelor- or Diplomathesis.
At the moment I try to write down some ideas for different tasks.
To make it easier I want to use only 2 or 3 different board types.

Sorry, I'm confused.
What do you mean by answer #1 ?
As you have read it's not my thesis.
I shall conceive a challenge for a trainee and/or bachelor student.
So I work on differents themes with different complexity for different durations
in between 3 to 6 month.
First question: your thesis is over electronics or computer sciences?
Is it electronics or computer science ?
I don't know.
Somebody will have to build the hardware (Layout ?) and also has to do the programming.

Thank you for the answer.
I've found somewhere C# Code for a DCF77 clock in combination with the Netduino but I didn't looked at the code.
So I know that this can be done in combination with the Netduino.
It's not intended to build a releasable product.
Maybe it's true that the Netduino is a overkill for this purpose but I don't want to supply
x different plattforms. For me it's easier to conceive different trainee and diploma thesis
on only two or three different platforms.
So I think I will buy two or three Netduinos for trainees.
At the moment I plan a DCF77 clock, a radio clock and an interlock.
Do you have any other interesting ideas what you can realize based on an netduino ?
It should be something what can be realized in between 3 to 6 month maximum.
