Like many other newbies/lightweights, I looked around for something permanent-ish to hold my Netduino ][+ with an LCD and/or other gadgets. I followed a link to http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:48939 and uploaded it to www.sculpteo.com, who quoted me ~$80. When an open holder costs more than my device, I am sure I am doing something wrong.

So.... Can anyone recommend a "big enough" case for a Netduino Plus 2 in the $20-$30 range? It seems like this should be easier to find than it is. I am sure I am missing something. Or maybe this is a market waiting to be cracked?

Thanks.

Anything 3D printed, or that has machine work will not be cheap.

You can get a cheap plastic case, use a Dremel, and make your own case.

BTW, if you don't have a Dremel, get a real Dremel (name brand) kit from Home Depot, etc.

Plenty to choose from:

Also, ebay has some cheap plastic cases.  IMHO, I've had much better luck with Digikey than ebay.

Dremel, accessories, kits, etc:

My suggestion:

~$140 Having the flex shaft makes it much easier. :-)

Low cost basic kit:

~$70

Good luck.

These are really nice boxes ($3),

Doing a bit of surgery with your Dremel and using double-sided tape, you can fit a whole project inside of them.  I have several and the lid is very durable.

These are very good value from $3,50

But do ensure that they can deliver before ordering - I've placed a few orders there and some items where backordered for a pretty long time.

EDIT: What about Arduino enclosures? There are lots at eBay.

Chuckles,

I have used this

which resembles a PLC form factor.  You can buy it from straitway.com.mx....they

already have a board where you can mount your Netduino.  That board includes

the terminal screws to receive external signals.  That board already is perforated.

let me know if I can help.
