HI.
I have just been trying to upgrade a netduino from 4.1 to 4.2, without a lot of success. The setup is windows 7 32 bit OS and a USB connection to the Netduino. It's all been working fine for ages with 4.1.
I downloaded the 4.2 firmware and installed SAM-BA 2.12, then erased a netduino.
Sam-Ba appears to upgrade the bootloader correctly, but when I reconnect the board to the USB it fails to find a driver to load, the netduino shows up in the device list but with no driver installed and MFdeploy can't see it, because there's no driver I guess. I downloaded a zip of netduino drivers from an earlier pst, but they aren't recognised and won't install.
The blue LED stays on, presumably because there's no firmware, as I havn't got that far yet.
If I reconnect another netduino which still has 4.1 on it it installs drivers and works fine.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Kevin.

Hi Kevin and welcome to the Netduino community!
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing problems. I'm just wondering, have you also installed both the .NET Micro Framework 4.2 QFE2 SDK and the Netduino 4.2 RTM SDK? Download links at http://forums.netdui...mework-v42-sdk/
The USB drivers should be included in the netduino sdk.

Hi KevinR,
To echo what Stefan said, you'll want to install the Netduino 4.2.0.1 SDK before reflashing your Netduino. The new WinUSB drivers required for MFDeploy are included in the Netduino SDK.

Ha. RTFM to the rescue! I had missed out the initial uninstall step.
Thanks for your help.
