Hey guys,
I just want to know if this display is compatible with the netduino b/c it's 18 pins and I don't know if that is compatible with the Hitachi HD44780 driver.

Hi Leon,
after looking into the datasheet it seems the display is compatible with the Hitachi controller. The commands are the same and the charmap seems identical. Even the timing of the controller is identical. Some members have already posted libraries to control the Hitachi controller from the Netduino.
Using a 4x20 HD44780-controlled LCD Display with the Netduino
and
HD44780 LCD display in 4-bit mode using 4 data wires
Good look with the display...
