How to ensure UART pin does not go tristate when closed?

Hi, Everytime I close the UART the UART pin goes tristate. How can I ensure this doesn't happen? Eg. the port must be kept high after the close command. Thanks.

I guess should be correct, because you should be able to leave the pins free when it is not in use. The workaround is trivial: place an external pull-up (10K) to +3.3V. Cheers
Biggest fault of Netduino? It runs by electricity.
