Just out of curiosity, what would be the correct steps to deploy NativeSample and get its diagnostic output?
According to the PK docs you flash it instead of portbooter/tinyloader. I get the impression it is meant to be used in a more traditional embedded IDE using JTAG so you can debug your essential HAL/PAL functions.
Probably not much use on the netduino since the JTAG is not connected, although it may support debugging over USB much like SAM-BA supports programming over USB. I've not used the ATMEL arm chips before this.
I wonder it we could get Chris to consider having JTAG connected for the Rev 2 board, or to weigh in on debugging native code over USB?

Yes, you are right - I incorrectly assumed that there must always be a bootloader flashed first. Now it is clear. Thanks.According to the PK docs you flash it instead of portbooter/tinyloader.
I agree. I would like to follow the whole porting process, step by step - so I need to start from the beginning, I bet it will not work when I flash my firmware build right away...Probably not much use on the netduino since the JTAG is not connected
These are good ideas.I wonder it we could get Chris to consider having JTAG connected for the Rev 2 board, or to weigh in on debugging native code over USB?

JTAG over USB would be an awesome feature. It would be interesting to see how that could be implemented...
