Just out of curiosity, what would be the correct steps to deploy NativeSample and get its diagnostic output?

According to the PK docs you flash it instead of portbooter/tinyloader. I get the impression it is meant to be used in a more traditional embedded IDE using JTAG so you can debug your essential HAL/PAL functions.

Probably not much use on the netduino since the JTAG is not connected, although it may support debugging over USB much like SAM-BA supports programming over USB. I've not used the ATMEL arm chips before this.

I wonder it we could get Chris to consider having JTAG connected for the Rev 2 board, or to weigh in on debugging native code over USB?

Yes, you are right - I incorrectly assumed that there must always be a bootloader flashed first. Now it is clear. Thanks.

I agree. I would like to follow the whole porting process, step by step - so I need to start from the beginning, I bet it will not work when I flash my firmware build right away...

These are good ideas.

JTAG over USB would be an awesome feature. It would be interesting to see how that could be implemented...
