Exactly what do I have to download, and from where, to get started using Visual Basic to program the Netduino? Everything I see appears to be for C#.

 

I currently have Visual Studio 2005 Academic edition installed on a win 7 64 bit machine. If this is documented somewhere just point me to it.

Hello!

Afraid that won't work. netMF works only with Visual Studio 2010 and later models. (Actually 2008 and later.) You'll need to obtain the Express releases of Visual Studio 2010 for starters, or you might be eligible for the academic products.

 

The complete kits on the dot-netMF page only reference 2010 and later as it happens. Oh and welcome to the forums.
