I want to make a little Plexiglas box with holes for the USB, Power, button, and a wide slit to allow access to the pins, oh and maybe some for ventilation. I think its a good idea since I tend to mess up big time (Fried a 250GB Hardrive  ) Anyways it will also make the Netduino look nicer. Maybe Secret Labs should consider selling these.

Anything meant for the Arduino will work for the Netduino (except for the USB and power connectors, of course) http://www.esawdust....und-arduinousb/ << Those guys make pretty good stuff. Like I said, you'll still need a plate for the side connectors.

Here is another enclosure from Adafruit
http://www.adafruit....products_id=271

I just ordered one so I can tell you shortly how netduino fits inside.

that one is a little better. I'd rather have a clear one.

OZ, it sounds like you'll have a very nice looking case whatever you do! Szymon, Chris Seto--thanks for the links to the cases. Maybe we should ask one of the manufacturers to make a Netduino-specific case? Chris

Or you can make your own vacuum former!

It won't be as thick as a plexiglass one or the ones linked, but you could ramp up the process to work with thicker materials. Plus this comes in handy for making custom pieces for projects.

Chris, I think all you need to do is ask them. I'm pretty sure that's what the did with the GHI's FEZ Domino.

Dude thanks! I made one using a bowl (nice big surface area!) the top of a Fanta bottle and sealed it with hot glue and that white tape stuff used on pipes. Its sweet! thanks again

I think that in general you would choose the case that fits best for your project, considering all additional components that you might be using.

That said I think adafruit's case looks quite robust and can fit quite a lot. For larger or more ruged projects Chameleon case might work better http://www.esawdust....cl-cham1-basic/

For both enclosures we just need a proper faceplate to expose the netduino ports (or just a template to cut them ourselves from blank faceplate).

Here are few more examples:

I like the stackable one a lot, that way you can keep building.

Thanks to all for posting these.

Hi, I received the adafruit's arduino enclosure today. Netduino fits nicely inside but of course I will have to make a new hole if I wanted to plug USB from outside. Also because the power plug dosn't stick out as much as on arduino there is a little gap between the bottomplate. Here you can see few photos of it: http://cid-4c7ec0c21...e.aspx/Netduino Overall the board looks good. I will try to connect the LCD and figure out how to add the buttons (probably will use switch buttons on the proto shield).

That looks really good. Too bad the USB is offset a little, but thats an easy fix. You could even seal up the old hole. Good luck with that LCD screen!

Chris,

Seems it is a forgotten issue.  I have conversations with Hammond but they ask for detailed cad files ...do you have anything?

Regards,
