As far as I know there's nothing to worry about; they're still for sale in the major electronics stores.

There are loads of resellers who have Netduinos on stock. See also the reseller pages: http://www.netduino.com/buy/

Could it be simply that they are unaware of the new Netduino 2 and Netduino Plus 2 and they are simply under the assumption that the lack of production of version 1 means they are pulling it?  You may want to see if they know about the ND2 and ND+2 at your local shop.

Hmm, I'm always surprised when people don't know about the brand new sites that *I* just created.  Yes, very few people ever heard of them.  It's hard getting the news out. :)

So, here's a little self promotion:

http://www.google.com/

http://www.amazon.com/

:)

And, yes, my very small "sole owner/operator" internet store (amazon.com) does carry the Netduino Plus2!

Note, since these sites get such few hits, and I the only sole owner/developer, there may be a massive delay in getting the Netduino Plus2.  It might take all the way until the next day.

Sorry, I just can't devote that much time to those websites.  I need a regular full-time job to support myself!  No way I could expect the revenue from my two very small web sites, Amazon & Google, to ever amount to anything more than a few dollars a year.

Netduino Plus 2
Price:  $59.95
In Stock.
Want it tomorrow, Feb. 19? Order within 5 hrs 20 mins, and choose One-Day Shipping at checkout.

Please help and support the struggling single-owner/employee web sites like Amazon and Google! :)

And, yes, I bought my 4 units from Amazon.  Heck, why wouldn't I buy them from my own "sole owner/operator" hole-in-the-wall internet store. :)

Good for you. IMVHO many of the community members that do not live in the USA could consider your post a little bit unfair, because it is actually rather hard to get things like electronics delivered here [Europe] without ridiculous shipping costs ($60 anyone?), and it's We're sorry. This item can't be shipped to your selected destination. from Amazon for me. So enjoy your next day free shipping...

Hi perkunas,

Where are you located? Were you buying from an authorized Netduino reseller?

We have about 50 authorized resellers around the world. There are even more stores who buy from those resellers and then resell Netduinos online and in local shops worldwide.

Also...while we do try hard to keep production fast enough to meet demand, sometimes things get a few weeks backordered. But usually there are enough resellers in enough places...that you can get Netduinos when you need them.

I was addressing the Amazon issue and shopping directly overseas, not European resellers - they have their own problems, just launch the calculator  :P

Also...

Some resellers do have international warehouses.

Mouser Electronics alone has more than 19 international locations.

Dude, I'm only one person, give me a break. :)

Okay, I've been busting my *******, and I just created Amazon.uk

http://www.amazon.co.uk/

http://www.amazon.co.../dp/B00B7257XA/

Netduino Plus 2
Price:  £59.99
Only 3 left in stock.

I checked with my legal department, also me :), and here's a list of places that I can ship to from Amazon.uk

http://www.amazon.co...8&nodeId=524836

Also, check out:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/

http://www.ebay.co.u...?&_nkw=Netduino

FWIW, I've been using Mouser since the early 90's.  They're a very good company.

Still, after I did all that work to create Amazon.uk, it would be nice if I get at least one order this year. :)

BTW:  I order a bunch of shields/etc from China a few weeks ago.  Now, some delivery dates are listed in March.

Oh well, I wasn't in a huge hurry. And, I can order 3 blue-tooth shields from China and pay less than if I bought just one in the States.

The shields are made and come from China anyways.

Lesson: If you want/need anything within a month, don't order from China. :)

Yes prices in China are very tempting.

Following weixiongmei's MAX7219 question, I searched for MAX7219 and found on ebay a seller in China selling the chip, a PCB and an 8x8 LED display to go on it for £2.64 (with free P&P from China to UK).

I'm certain I could not post a parcel two yards up the road for £2.64, let alone pay for the jiffy bag and the components!

What I really don't understand is why, when the Netduino is all open source, there are not lots of Chinese rip offs.....

(I am glad there are not, secret labs deserve the income after all the hard work).
