Is that Gadgeteer compatible? It looks similar.

The processor looks to have changed too going by the Amazon pic. And the specs look good!

There's obviously more info just waiting to be revealed - e.g. http://www.netduino.com/netduinogo redirects you to a forum topic that currently won't display.

Where are you reading actual specs?

Sorry - I just meant the specs of the processor - just Google the code you can see on the processor in one of the Amazon photos.

Hmmm.works for me....
pops up a YouTube video for the touch screen for the net duino go. Try searching YouTube if the link is broken.

I placed an order for one, here:

From the Amazon pic the processor is an STM32F405RGT6: 1 MB Flash, 192KB RAM, 168MHz http://www.st.com/in...ferrer=70032480

STM32F4 clearly visible on the photo - Hanzibal is going to be pleased Posted Image

Weee!

I knew Stefan was hiding something but I never expected him to be so knee deep into it. Congrats Stefan, well played and done for that matter - must have been really fun being a part of the whole development process. Really cool!

I haven't slept at all last night.
But just like the rest of you all, I'm waiting for the official announcement from Secret Labs. Until that moment I deny all knowledge about this new thingy, whatsitcalled?

I enjoy to see how curious and excited you all are by the way. Thumbs up!

1 MB Flash, 192KB RAM, 168MHz

It's the same MCU used in the Fez Cerberus, the Cerb40 and on the STM32F4_Discovery board:
http://forums.netdui...dpost__p__25006

The NGO firmware might run on all of these boards.

Can anyone see the crystal frequency on the NGO?

I can imagine. The thing that got me suspicious was that you were initially a bit late in commenting on this threadPosted Image

EDIT: Naturally, Chris couldn't comment - but you...

My guess would be 25 MHz. But it's not really that important, the cpu clock is derived from a PLL, which can be fed with various clock frequencies...

Darn, you're smart ;)
If the video wasn't found yet, I would still be denying everything :P

I was just thinking since in order to get the Fez Cerberus firmware running on the Discovery board, we had to replace the 8Mhz crystal with a 12Mhz one. I actually did that but somehow I managed to break the boardPosted Image

Well, STM32F4 is able to measure the HSE frequency using one of the timers, so it can calculate PLL prescaler and adjust it accordingly (see Internal/external clock measurement using TIM5/TIM11 in the datasheet).

Nothing official yet? Chris must be having a Danish with his coffee this morning... At least we have enough teaser info to keep us going for now. The big questions for me though is - where's the Ethernet? I very much doubt this has been overlooked though. Adding an SD card should be easy with a module, so no worries there.

I see, so the cerberus firmware probably use a fixed config then, right?

I guess so... I mentioned that option mostly just because it exists, usually it is easier to use fixed config (i.e. hardcoded clock sources, frequencies and such); you don't switch crystals on production hardware :)
