Hi Vic, welcome to the forums!

The documentation for the .NET Micro Framework is referenced on the Downloads page under Documentation. I have included it here for your convenience:
http://msdn.microsof...y/ee436350.aspx

There is a good book on the .NET Micro Framework out there--if you would prefer a step-by-step guide:
http://www.amazon.co.../dp/1430223871/

Finally, we are also working on an "Introduction to Netduino" text which we plan to release online as a Creative Commons-licensed work. It's not scheduled for release until the fall, but it should be a nice primer on all things Netduino.

If there's something else you'd like to see, please let us know. We can provide video tutorials, source projects, and additions to the mentioned "intro" text. We're trying to add something new online weekly for the next little while.

Chris,

Thanks for the reply.

I guess I am not getting it. I would like documentation in a down-loadable format such as a .PDF. I'm sort of
old-fashioned that way. Does any such critter exist or will I have to fall back on on-line reading?

Hi Vic,

Microsoft changed to 100% online help with Visual Studio 2010--so the .NET Micro Framework help is all online too.

I appreciate the replies to my query. Thanks. I do not understand how the .NET Micro Framework software produced by M$ connects to the specific hardware of the netduino. Since there is other hardware out there that uses the same framework there must be some software that is specific to specific hardware that acts as a bridge. It's that documentation I am looking for. Any further enlightenment will be appreciated! Vic Fraenckel KC2GUI windswaytoo ATSIGN gmail DOT com

Basically, if someone wants to put NETMF on their device, they first get a porting kit and make the necessary changes to allow the NETMF operating system to run on their hardware. The porting kit is how the hardware is connected to Microsoft.

Is there any documentation for the SecretLabs.NETMF.Hardware.Netduino namespace? Also, the website has some mention of sample programs, but I don't see any in the SecretLabs install directory. Are there any besides the "blink" program available?
