WOWZA!

These a lot of stuff here, and I'm not even going to try and list it all.
There were more than 20 Solenoids in there!

I took:
~5x solenoids (I will decide exactly how many when I seal the box)
1pkg of 10 Green LEDs, they are clear LEDs that emit Green (2 more in the box)
1x Small stepper (1 more in the box)
2x 3.5mm audio connectors (female) (2 left in the box)
1x Knife

I added:
~10x Level Converters 3.3-12v (I didn't count exactly how many I threw in)
2x DC Motors
1x Laser Assembly with a 3rd DC motor still attached
1x Older sound card (lots of good caps & female connectors)
1x Wall wart with a micro-usb connector, great for powering your Netduino.
1x Female USB breakout (2 connections)

Heres a pic of the changset (hehe).
What I took is on the right, and what I added on the left:

Sometime this week, hopefully Monday the box is going out to John (a.k.a JonnyBoats) in Phillips Maine.

If you havn't see it already Dan and I put together a map of where the box is going and has been, you can see it on my blog.

Edit: I added smaller pictures, the old ones were far too big.

The BOCS arrived in Maine! The box arrived here in Phillips, Maine yesterday. Is anyone interested in having a box opening party? I know Phillips is rather remote, so I am open to traveling to Portland, Bangor or Augusta ME to meetup with anyone who would like to share in the fun. I am even open to traveling to Portsmouth, NH if that is better for people. Please respond if you are interested. I do not want to hold the BOCS up too long, so we need to do thus soon if you are interested. Today is Tuesday, 4-OCT-2011. If nobody responds by tomorrow night, I will simply open it by myself and then send it along on Thursday.

The BOCS left Phillips, Maine (USA) today (Tuesday, 11-OCT-2011) on its way to David Stetz. The Post Office tells me it will take 2-3 days, so hopefully David will have it by Friday. I took photos and will post them here later today.

Jonny, great! Hope you found something useful inside, thanks for trying to expand the project by doing an opening party. I assume from the lack of replies that it didn't work out?

As a teaser, this is an image of what I added to the box.

For those of you following, I had no takers for a box opening party, but hopefully we can organize some Netduino Days at hackerspaces and other locations in the future.

I just got the BOCS! Opening and photographs will ensue! Well, at least photos of what I take and some of which I put in...the rest should maybe remain a surprise for the next person to get the BOCS. BTW, it arrived without a name for "from" or "to". LOL, Kode! It was officially the "suspicious box of the day" although luckily it made it to me unopened. Chris

Lol, I had a lot packages to ship that day, I must have missed putting my name on it. :)

Kode, glad you got something useful out of it, even if it was a handful of LEDs :) At least they're properly labeled with an item # so there's no guesswork!

Although it is a Box of Crappy Surplus, I thought we might add something new (i.e. not surplus) to it. That something arrives here Friday...and then it'll be off (to Terry)! Chris P.S. No, not a super-secret new Netduino. Just to clarify ;)

Right sure, I knew I should have been after Walker, I wanted that N++ prototype.

If the box makes it way back to the west coast I have a very full cubical of obsolete things that I have been officially told to make disappear. So feel free to toss me on the list if you'd like.
