Hi, I'd like to start my first netduino project by using it as a temperature sensor for some aquariums. I've been searching the online stores for a suitable temperature sensor I can use, but I haven't found one that is waterproof. Can anyone point me in the direction of a waterproof temperaturesensor for the Netduino?

I can't recommend a specific product but if it helps your search you probably don't need a waterproof sensor just a sensor with a probe on it. If you've ever seen one of those $10 'weather stations' with the wire you run outside that's what I mean.

If you want to use the special one-wire firmware from CW2 or the one wire controller from Peter Anderson you can get a DS18B20 already in a stainless probe. Just search for "DS18B20 probe" on eBay.

You can also order stainless probe ends. Brewer's Hardware is the place with the biggest selection that I have found. You can just drop in a sensor and seal it up with silicone and some heat shrink tubing.

If looks aren't important you can take some 1/4" copper tubing and crimp one end shut and put some solder on in it to seal it. Then you drop in a sensor, silicone the other end shut, and heat shrink tubing to make it look a little neater. That is my plan, but I have a bunch of copper tubing laying around.

Hope that helps.

I'm not sure if this would work submerged. It says water resistant not waterproof.

Be careful of that copper tubing if it is going into a fish tank, the copper could be toxic to the fish!
