hi.

I was wondering if it is possible to use FTDI cable to access this module in order to test the functionality via terminal on a PC before attaching it to Netduino?

Attached File  FTDI_RTC.png   210.44KB   0 downloads

Wiring instructions (with Arduino uno r3 for example):
SCL ? A5
SDA ? A4
VCC ? 5V
GND ? GND

it gives 5V and Ground as a start but the rest I am not sure about the other connections. I haven't played with analog inputs before. Is it possible to connect the cable and read/write the data?

Thanks!

I did a bit more research and found ALL IN 1 USB to SPI/I2C/IIC/UART/TTL/ISP serial Adapter on eBay that looks like this:

so, IIC will not work with FTDI cable, as far as I can see,

but this "All in 1" from eBay should work.
