[Netduino Plus] Driver not found on Windows 8

Best Answer Lionel95 , 08 April 2013 - 09:04 AM

If your device is shown as Netduino Plus, it certainly flashed with the firmware.

But you have to use netduino sdk 64 bit v4.2 instead of v4.1, not only Microframework SDK need to be upgraded tov4.2

Hi,

I tried to install my Netduino Plus (1) on Windows 8 but the diver is not found.

I installed:

  1 Microsoft Visual C# Express 2010 2 .NET Micro Framework SDK v4.1 3 Netduino SDK v4.1.0 (64-bit)

I manually let windows search in C:Program Files (x86)Secret Labs but it didn't help ...

Which possibilities do I have right now?

Thanks

Try setting the driver path to "C:Program Files (x86)Secret LabsNetduino SDKDrivers" and make sure you check the option that tells it to search subdirectories too.

Yeah I tried everything (including that). Didn't work at all ...

EDIT: More information:

+ Windows 8 64 Bit

+ I flashed Netduino+ (with golden square) some weeks ago

+ Windows message: "Could not install driver. No driver was found"

+ Name ("Netduino Plus") is shown in device manager

Hope anyone can help me!

Hi LordOfTheFlakes,

I'm using N+ with W8 64bits and I don't have any problem. Did you only erase the firmware by using the "golden square" or did you have reflashed the new FW with SAM-BA?

When you open the peripherals manager do you see your N+? what is its name and in which section?

Lionel

P.S. : Why don't you use v4.2 instead of 4.1?

Hi, thanks for your answer.

I wanted to use v4.2 so I flashed my device.

So after erasing it I flashed it with SAM-BA but I don't remember if it was successfull. But I think so because I tried to use VB.net after flashing. (thats about 2 or 3 months ago)

The device is listed as "Netduino Plus", and when you right-click and go to settings you have "Code 28 - No driver installed" ...

EDIT: Section: Other devices

EDIT 2: I also installed .net micro framework 4.2, but in both situation the drivers do not work / can't be used for N+ device
