Hello,

I have a need to create a mini 'buffer for serial messages'  using the netduino, SD and COM1 & COM2

I need a dual RS-232 serial port shield.

it's look somthing like this:

COM1 -> SD micro -> COM2

Any one ever use 2 RS-232 port with netduino?

What should be the problem?

You need two TTL-to-RS232 shields and a Netduino Plus or Plus 2 (that's because you want the SD). Afterward you have to write the software application that manages the ports.

The only question you should ask yourself is about your messages: if they're are running very fast/frequently, maybe a Netduino won't be able to deal with them.

Also bear in mind that the MF does not manage the RS232 handshake signals: just TXD and RXD.

Cheers

Biggest fault of Netduino? It runs by electricity.

_one_ max232 can do that conversation from 12v to 5 than do whatever you want with your data on the netduino than back to 12v

it has 2 ports
