I have a lot of confidence in the Go! range again, although we haven't seen many gizmo's and do-dads in the last year, in recent months various releases for shield base have come out. Also thanks to Chris for taking the feedback of the community (the good and the less compliment).
I think he has done a great job being patient and sympathetic to community frustration, whilst I'm sure secret labs have some of their own, waiting on netmf updates.
Whilst I too have been disappointed from time to time, the netduino products are great and other community members must be excited by the imminent prospect of new modules too! Plus QFE1 at the longest will be 3 months at a guess, so I think we have A LOT to be excited for in the not so distant future.

If you have to ask that you clearly have lost the contact with the people in this forum.
We are waiting more then a year!
We wanted the hubs and internet modules more then 6 months ago even if they where only usable thru hacks.

I just was shopping for some GO stuff and I found that more often the shops are NOT supporting the GO anymore only the normal netduino's are available.
Chris as mentioned by others any plans on releasing the other modules to the community ? (rs232,gadgeteer,hubs,ambilight) ?
I need the gadgeteer module before the summer to be able to continue with my project.

I mean keeping the members updated about what is going on.

Chris has mentioned that in the 1st quarter there should be some progress on the modules and delivery of modules. So between now and 23 days there should be something happening

Mouser's estimated delivery date for the Ethernet Module is listed as 06/02/2014.
The delivery date for the SD Module is listed as 07/08/2014.

Sigh, why don't you just get a cheap ass ENC28J60 module off ebay for < £3 and use the mIP library?
At least this is something that WILL get ethernet to the GO without doubt.

I'm currently trying to get mIP working with M2Mqtt so I can get GO working with Mqtt, it would be cool to have a few other people helping explore this route

Because I did not buy the GO to buy seperate shields for stuff that was anounced when I bought it.
I need my shield bases for other stuff.
I want the plug and play electronics that was promised.
Otherwise I would have bought a Netduino plus.!

The suggestion of mip + an enc28j60 is a good cheap alternative or at least stop gap. It is from what I understand the same chip on the ethernet board we are all waiting on. Plus it uses spi, so you only really lose 1 pin for chip select if you use other spi modules and the multi spi library, so not much of a sacrifice. I got it working sharing spi with a gpio expander so I actually gained pins as opposed to lost pins. Also in terms of plug and play, bar a resistor and not having a 10 pin connector or shield format, its not far off. At least this way you can move on with your code and project in the mean time, then when the ethernet module lands, fingers crossed this year, you can simply switch out the mip code for the native network code.

Hi Andy,
I agree its a real nice solution.
My problem is that I already know which parts I need and they require a design of an enclosure to hold them all.
I need two shieldbases and two 16 channel relay modules, a Bluetooth, gyro and Ethernet module.
Some sort of display maybe a linked raspberry or native x86 mainboard with APU
All of these need to be placed in a tight enclosure.
Programming the stuff is not the hard part for me.
If this all together works well I require 3 more of these complete sets to be setup.
But waiting is becoming painful because the projects is reaching its end stage and there is no hardware.

Well it has been almost two years since this thread started. Do you have a release date for it yet? Many of the early go bus supporters have moved on, is that what we should all be doing. I think architecture of the Go Bus is superior to Gadgeteer, but if you can't deliver product it doesn't really matter.
Is it even being worked on?

We have parts for several new modules in stock right now, queued for production. The STM8S modules are headed to production first...then the STM32-based modules.
The Ethernet module is STM32-based, so it will not be the first new module to ship...but it is in our new module lineup. The Ethernet module in particular required an enormous amount of new code--part of which is finished and part of which we're finishing up this spring and summer.
I know that getting this second batch of first-party modules out has been a long process; thank you for both your enthusiasm and your patience.
