SparkFun and MakerShed should have some more this week. They're in stock now in Mexico and the UK.

We hope to catch up on Netduino Plus backorders in the next few weeks.

I'm new to all of this, and I'm coming up to speed on the Netduino, and Netduino Plus ... and am excited about using it for several applications that we're building. I've been using another microcontroller solution for a bit, but it's too limited and I wanted to move to a more open solution. I understand the delay on more Netduino Plus units has been for a while now ... a good sign of demand for a good thing ... and am curious about my other options. I saw the board layouts, etc. on the specs page ... are there any restrictions on me creating my own boards? I want to stay fully compatible ... and also maybe work on some 1 wire support also, which we need.

Hi Humancell, It looks like USA resellers ran out of Netduino Pluses yesterday, but there should be more next week. You're welcome to have a PCB made and hand-assemble your own Netduino Plus. Most users buy a pre-made unit (since it's built by machine and much less expensive than making one yourself). We expect all backorders to clear up really soon. Welcome to the Netduino community, Chris

Chris, Which USA resellers should I be looking at? The few that I have checked all say two weeks ... and I've been checking for over a week now. ?? :-( Thanks for the welcome ... I'm looking forward to getting going with some development! And thanks for creating a great site, community, and platform! Scott

Hi Humancell,

All of the US- and Canada-based resellers should be getting more soon. We ship a lot of the units ground, so it takes longer to reach the west coast than the east coast etc.

BTW, I understand that MakerShed is holding a few Netduino Pluses to sell at MakerFaire in San Jose this weekend. They'll probably sell out the first day, but if you're at the big event...

Chris, Is there a Bill Of Materials anywhere for your boards? I see the schematic and board layout ... but no BOM. Is that available someplace? Scott

We include a sample BOM in the board design file itself. If you click on each component in the Allegro Cadence viewer, it will give you component details (brand, PN, components specs).

Any updates on where I can get a Netduino Plus in the US? I'm still seeing all of the resellers with "Out Of Stock" on their sites ... can you say who has them?

Another batch is shipping out to USA and EU resellers next week. If you need a bunch of them, contact us and we can make sure you can get the quantity you need.

If you are willing to order from the EU, I know this shop has a few in stock.

I'm really just trying to get our first prototype unit to test our code on! :-)

Please let me know where to order one as soon as possible ...

Also ... is anyone making commercial cases (plastic or metal) for the Netduino Plus yet?

Hi Scott,

I know that Solarbotics (one of our resellers) has made a Netduino and Netduino Plus case...

If you're looking for another type of case, there are quite a few case makers that should probably be making Netduino cases...

Hi Scott, A bunch of Netduino Pluses are shipping out tomorrow. You should see that at US-based resellers sometime next week. Chris

MakerSHED has them in stock, and other US/Canadian resellers will be getting lots over the next week.

Thank you! Just ordered two of them for our project! BTW, we are having metal cases made for both the Netduino and Netduino Plus boards ... we'll have extras available for sale. I'll post pictures when we get our first batch!
