Visual Studio 2010 moved to an "all online" help system. The .NET MF help files actually get installed locally as far as I can tell (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft .NET Micro Framework\v4.1\Documentation\NET MicroFramework Docs), but opening up help files manually is a bit of a chore... I think there are some good programs out there that will download a whole website to your computer so that you have an offline copy... I used to use them maybe ten years ago, so I'm not sure what the best ones are now. Chris

no it didn't. you can run help locally, it's just that they now run it as a website and install a local web server. when you're installing vs 2010 you have an option to install docs locally, which is what i always do because i often work without connectivity. for some reason, however, the micro framework sdk install didn't aggregate the index into the help collection, which is weird.

bryancostanich, That's good to know, as I prefer local help too. I didn't know about that option in the Visual Studio 2010 installer. Thanks! Chris

There is also a free plug-in in the visual studio gallery that gives you the old VS2008 style help. Get it at: http://visualstudiog...ed-cbcbebe04a20

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I wondering the same thing. Anyway, I've just written this up on how to add the mf help files to visual studio's help manager. Feedback welcomed of course. http://nerduino.word...mf-vs2010-help/
