I just purchased a netduino 2 plus, and it works great. I am an avid C# developer, so I was able to get a couple cool examples working quickly with the onboard switch and led. I'm ready to do more, and found several addons like the piezo speaker and RGB led module on Amazon--but for the netduino go...

I know hardly anything about electronics, will these netduino go modules work with the netduino 2 plus?

I'm fine to learn how to do a little wiring.

Hi jonathanpeppers, The GoBus modules are designed to work specifically with GoBus-compatible boards (i.e. Netduino Go). There's no GoBus port on Netduino Plus 2...so they're probably not a good fit for your current setup. There are a lot of components you can pick up from MakerFaire, Mouser, etc. Did you happen to pick up the "Getting Starter with Netduino" book? Welcome to the Netduino community, Chris

My personal recommendation would be to get a Netduino GO as well :D but apparently I am a hoarder

I bought the book (I think that might help the most).

The main question I have is how to know something will work with the netduino 2 or not. Should I mainly be looking for something that can run off 3.3V or is there other requirements?
