Can you plug/unplug modules with power on?

Hi Julian, By spec, the official recommendation is that you plug in modules when the board is powered down. I hot-plug modules all the time on my personal hardware and have never had an issue doing that...but we can't officially recommend doing so. Chris Go to the full post

Hi,

 

I have been powering down my netduino go whenever I need to plug in or unplug modules. I wanted to check if that is necessary.
