Ah! I solved it. Before I was using a different MFDeploy (as was found in the description of the video I first posted), but with the help of this post I now have the 4.2 framework and my Netduino should be up and running.

Hmm, yes. I did that and now the LED stays on and MFDeploy wont see my Netduino, but Visual Studio and Device Manager both recognize it as Netduino...

That occurred to me, but I have no idea whatsoever how to do that. I know that you have to power some gold thing on the board, but how much power and where the gold thing is I do not know. Also, I don't know how to 'flash' new firmware to my board...

Hi, this is my first time using Netduino, and I'm sad to say I'm a bit confused. I plugged it in after installing everything, and my computer recognized it and all was well. Then I followed this tutorial: and after using MFDeploy and clicking the 'Deployment Transfer' I unplugged it and plugged it back in, only to find that it was no longer recognized. The led turns off after around 2.5 seconds when I plug it in, nothing changed on the Netduino, my computer simply wont recognize the Netduino. Any help would be very much appreciated.
