#17124 Device has old or unsupported configuration

Posted by oddmar on 26 August 2011 - 07:30 PM in Netduino Plus 2 (and Netduino Plus 1)

Don't give up too soon...

That message you get from SAM-BA, you get when there still is a tinybootloader present. So did you actually erase it?

Finally it worked.
I switched to a Windows 7 32 bit and tried again. Seemed to help. bootloader installed and flashing 4.1.0.6 now. :)

Thanx guys

It's possible, but not a big chance its done by accident. See http://wiki.netduino...ep-by-step.ashx for instructions to remove and reflash the tinybootloader.

I give up. the samba says no board when i start it, and when i select the correct board "at91sam7x512-ex" it fails with something like unknown ID

GREAT !

Hi Chris, I'we tried the holding the SW1, power on, press the ping thing. Found it on the forum. But i just keep getting the TinyCLR As long as i hold the SW1, i get no response from the ping. only when i release it do i get TinyCLR. Am i not holding it long enough ? Also, could you lend me a hand to press the ping button :) 2 doesn't seem to be enough for holding sw1, unplugging and replugging the usb and pressing ping. :) /Oddmar

#17099 Device has old or unsupported configuration

Posted by oddmar on 26 August 2011 - 01:29 PM in Netduino Plus 2 (and Netduino Plus 1)

Hi Chris, and thanx for the welcome and quick reply :)

I have tried rebooting, unplugging, erasing, holding the SW1 while connecting the N+.

I can deploy programs to the N+ with VS2010 but i just cant configure anything. And now it also seems i cant flash it either.
Getting "Error: No response from device" error.

Hope you can help. Have had the NetDuino plus for only 1 day :(

Hi oddmar,

That's a very curious error. Have you tried rebooting your computer, unplugging/re-attaching your Netduino Plus, etc.?

Two other things to try:
1. Try reflashing the firmware (or upgrade to the new .NET MF 4.2 RC1).
2. Try reflashing just the ER_CONFIG file from the firmware.

Does that help?

Welcome to the Netduino community,

Chris
