#58751 My Netduino CNC Machine

Posted by BernardG on 17 June 2014 - 08:07 AM

Ps to previous reply:

I forgot to say that if I send positions manually (Working positions X, Y, Z, button Goto), it works perfectly, so the problem is not communication between DazCamUI and DazCam in the Netduino.

#52807 Netduino Plus fail constantly

Posted by BernardG on 18 September 2013 - 12:29 PM

Hi all,

Before giving up on this one and buying a Plus 2, I would like to know if I could salvage it.

First, my context: my Netduino Plus was performing perfectly, but mostly because of lack of time, I shelved it for a while. I am using Windows 8.

Lately I wanted to try a few things, so I downloaded the latest SAM-BA (v2.12 with patch), NetMF 4.1, FirmWare, erase the Netduino, Installed everything in the proper order, installed a little program from VS2010, everything perfect.

Then after 2 or 3 Netduino reboot (plug/unplug the USB), I got an error USB driver malfunctionning. Hum, OK? redid the whole shebang once again, worked again for a short time, then poof, same thing, USB driver error. The same cycle went on 6 or 7 times before I got really tired of this and decided to post here.

The only little thing I noticed is that SAM-BA preselect for me At91sam7x512-kf (I think, don't have it in front of me now), while I noted to select At91sam7x512-au with my previous version.

As that is the only thing I have not tried (go back to a previous version of SAM-BA), I wonder if that could be the reason?

It seems that, for whatever reason, after a few reboot I get "something" corrupt, as this has really to do with the Netduino itself and not the USB driver.

To be clear, once I do the whole cycle to re-flash, reset the Ip address, etc, it does works fine, just for a very short time!

Thanks for any idea that I could/should try.

#15919 Measuring Angle of Attack

Posted by BernardG on 26 July 2011 - 11:35 AM

I appreciate your response... and keeping me honest!

I neglected to mention... the object is flying and I'm needing an accurate determination of its pitch angle (AOA)... hopefully in the 0.1 degree range.

Hum, if the object is flying, the AOA has nothing to do with an angle with the earth, but an angle related to the relative wind. So, unless what you want to measure is NOT the AOA, the different sensors you have been talking about so far are not appropriate. Maybe you need to read, or re-read this : http://en.wikipedia....Angle_of_attack

Remember that in a banking turn, that is with the wings at 90° to the earth, an airplane is still flying and can reach a critical AOA causing a high speed stall....AND THAT is the kind of flight step where accurately measuring the AOA might help to save the plane....

From what you say, we are talking about 2 different things, so you are not talking about AOA.
