Updating to 4.2, another paper weight
26 November 2012 - 04:19 PM
Hi,
it hasn't been a good 24 hours. I tried, but I must admit I failed. I must have tried I guess 25-30 times with different OS'es (7 and XP) different SAM-BAS'es in weird combinations, lots of reboots, uninstalls and reinstalls. "Commune naufragium dulcet" is not true, I feel sorry for myself and others wasting a lot of time.
Yes, the upgrade from 4.1 to 4.2 created another brick. And also unfortunately I have lost faith in this being possible without an unreasonable investment of time being involved.
The netduino was happy and alive when it got here afew days ago. How do I get it back to that, to 4.1?
Thanks,
Peter Kobl
Can you IP connect through microusb cable?
25 November 2012 - 08:57 AM
Hi,
I would like to IP connect to a Web server (Cassini) running on my local PC from the Netduino using the microusb cable only. I'm doing simple http GET requests from the Netduino and these work fine going through the ethernet to my router and on to the outside Internet (and back). Now I would like to just use the Netduino microusb to connect to a service running on my local PC, i.e. the PC at the other end of the Netduino microusb cable. Is this possible, and what IP address would I use? The Cassini server running on my local PC is using a "localhost:nnnn" type address.
Thanks for your time,
Peter Kobl
