Also, consider picking up some Arduino shields to solder your work onto. That way, when you want to swap out to a new project, the shield still has all your beautiful stuff on it.

In Topic: RC6 Decoder Class

I'm only getting the "Code=0x00000000" output as well. Any suggestions?

You all may not be using Philips RC-6 remotes. My NEC remote (which I'm hacking this library to use), displays similar output. The OP's earlier post links to reference pages which should help you modify his classes to support more remotes.

In Topic: How to power a Netduino Plus without USB or VDC "plug"?

30 November 2012 - 08:40 PM

I'm bringing power in from a "wall wart". It's then going to power the Netduino as well as supply power to a 12V LED strip. The netduino is simply going to be switching the RGB of the LED strip.

What kind of light strip is it? I'm looking at signaling some WS2811 12v strips, but I'm not sure I can do it with 5v logic...

In Topic: 12v power to Netduino Plus 2?

Thanks for the quick reply! My project is powered via a repurposed ATX power supply that only has 12v, 5v, and 3.3v rails. Very little current will be flowing through the Netduino itself. The board is only going to be running a program and doing some talking (to an Arduino Mega) over a couple of serial pins, so I don't expect a TON of waste heat coming off of the regulator. The Mega (also running from 12v) is doing the bulk of the addressable LED signalling (fast multiple-pin bitbanging), but no power supplying. Power for the strings (300 pixels ~20A, zomg) is coming off the ATX 5v rail. Overall, I think I'm ok WRT waste heat, though suggestions are welcome. :)
