Netduino Plus 2 Serial Port Issues

15 May 2014 - 07:30 AM

I have ported over a program that I have previously run on a Netduino Plus to a Netduino Plus 2. Using the same hardware setup and connection configuration I am having problems with the serial port. I am receiving zeros on the data recieved event instead of the correct values. Has anyone else experienced these issues. Is there anything different in the serial port implementation for the new netduino plus boards?

I am running the latest firmware.

EDIT: The data received event fires properly and the data stream coming in to the pin is correct (checked using oscilloscope). Also, I have posted this in the wrong forum. Can a moderator move it to the Netduino plus forums please? Thanks.

Running netduino from a power bank

12 April 2014 - 11:48 PM

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone is running a netduino from a mobile charger power bank? I have attempted to connect use one, and it works fine for the first 10 seconds and then just power off. The current draw is about ~65mA, and the power bank I am attempting to use has a 11,000 mAh battery with two outputs (1A and 2.1A respectively). I am assuming that there is circuitry preventing a 'trickle charge' from the device which I think is quite stupid.

If anyone is successfully using a power bank, can you let me know what brand you are using?

receiving an inverted TTL serial signal

08 April 2014 - 02:28 AM

Hello everyone.

Is there a way to set the UART signal idle state for the netduino serial ports to 'High voltage'? I have a standard TTL rs232 signal that I want to read from a custom piece of hardware, this signal is however inverted for some reason.

I have tested this using my oscilloscope serial decoding function, and the data is correct when I set the Signal Idle state to 'Higher Voltage' in uart settings. Anyone got any ideas?
