1 netduino and 5 motors

12 November 2014 - 01:18 PM

Hi All i am working on a project that requires 5 motors to be run of a single netduino.

I have to be able to control the speed of all 5 motors.

So the attached Image is what I have come up with but I need some help with Motor 5 as I need to be connected to the batteries but still control the speed from the netduino.

I read that you could use the analogue pins to control a motors speed on an arduino can the same be done with the netduino?

If so how do I link to the 5th motor to the netduino and batteries with out killing my netduino.

I am really limited to the parts i can use and buy as I have no money to spend on this.

I know using a motor shield would make this a lot easier but i don't have one.

Any help would be great!

74hc595 Shift Register and PWM

29 October 2014 - 01:52 PM

Hi am new to working with the 74HC595 and I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of how to send PWM singals via it.

I have followed this http://www.oomlout.c...ts/nedx/ncir-05 but the example only shows how to set each pin to high or low any way I can set the pin to a integer?

2 H-Bridge and Shift Resister

28 October 2014 - 02:27 PM

Hi All,

I have started building a new project, and I have to control 4 motors independent of each other speed and direction.

I currently have 2  74HC595 Shift Registers and 2 L293D H-Bridges and I am trying to work out what would be the best way to wire them up so I could limit the number of pins I am using for the motor control and so I can control the direction and speed of each motor.

I would like to power the hole thing with 2 9v batteries.

I was hoping if any one have any advice on the best way to wire this all up.

I have attached my first attempt and a wiring diagram using Fritzing.

I haven't tried this yet as am scared I have made a mistake and am going to fry something.
