I LOLed. You know the distributor is a separate business, right? Your problem is with the distributor, not the manufacturer. If they are inefficient, buy from someone else. Incidentally, if you're buying one item, you're probably actually buying from a retailer, which puts them even further down the chain from the manufacturer than a distributor.

Hi, all. Will I be better off if I use one laptop for programming my ND+, and another to program the NDGo! when it arrives? If I use the same development machine for both of them, are there any caveats? Thanks, Gareth

I've got a potential requirement for a device which will control a typical 3 kW fan heater, it will need to be in one of four states, off, 1 kW, 2 kW and 3 kW output. Can anyone point me to a resource which will show me the sort of things I will need to consider in order to do it with an ND+? I'm assuming I need to have some sort of relays to replace the switches on the heater?

If it does turn out to be a RS232 serial device, I bought one of these to get my comms working. It works, it arrived quickly (2 weeks - not bad considering it came from China), it was inexpensive, and considering it's an eBay seller, the feedback for me (the buyer) was left as soon as payment had been sent - which is the way it should be.

It needs pins 0 and 1 on the ND+ connecting to RxOUT and TxIN respectively, the GND next to pin 13 goes to GND and (where I made my mistake) 3v3 near the microSD goes to VCC.

Well, my initial reason for getting involved with Netduino is pretty much finished. I've put a video online so the customer can see how it works and make any changes before I box it up and take it over for install.

My boss wants to start selling these, so I'm probably going to use the Netduino Go when it gets ethernet and SD. I've not been comfortable with C#, so VB compatibility out-of-the-box is a big attraction for the Go.
