#42946 Ceiling Fan Controller

I wanted the ability to control my ceiling fans from my phone instead of the standard wireless remotes.  Using the Netduino Plus and an Android app I accomplished this.

 

Here is the final product:

 

 

Basically, the Netduino Plus is running a basic web server which is listening for HTTP GET commands.  These HTTP commands contain all the information I need to trigger and sequence the IO bits on the Netduino.  You can better see this on this video:

 

 

The bits on the Netduino are connected to Optocouplers which simulate pressing the buttons on the actual fan controller.  Very basic concept...

 

I plan on integrating this into my HVAC System as well.  So when the AC/Heater turns on that the fans start spinning to push air around.  But thats in the future.

 

I'll try to make better diagrams how it works soon.
