In Topic: Problems with my Plus 2

Hi Chris
Thanks for getting back.
I was not hoping to upgrade to the 4.3 beta firmware yet. Not until the first full official release. This was simply my first attempt to install everything and connect the netduino for the first time, and just see if there is some sort of connection between my laptop and the netduino.
Anyways ... After asking for the device capabilities using the deployment tool, the truncated diagnostic info I have shown above is quite literally all that appears. And if I ask for it again, even less appears, until I disconnect and reconnect netduino and it reverts to just the above. It reminds me of losing serial comms data through lack of handshaking.
But while I was waiting for some suggestions, I installed 2012 express and everything else on my desktop to see if the problem was isolated to my laptop. And doing everything just the same, a full set of diagnostic info appeared. So i tried my first few lines of code and that works too. Success!
One difference is that on my desktop, I connected netduino through a high quality powered hub, so I am wondering if the USB port on my laptop is under powered.
So at the moment at least, I can use netduino and all appears well . I will look to see if the hub helps with the laptop, and investigate further as nessecary.
Thanks again
