About Me

I've been tinkering with gadgets as long as I can remember, having been tutored in the Way of the Geek by an IBMer dad and DEC uncle who was into Heathkits (remember those? http://www.heathkit-museum.com). I live in a nice house in a nice neighborhood... no wait, it's really a zoo! One wife (she won't let me get another ;-), one son, four dogs, two cats, five turtles, and who knows what else is running around here... a hamster may be on the loose (again). I've recently proposed we start charging admission for the packs of kids coming through. It really is chaos most of the time, but a blast nonetheless. I also maintain my survival skills (choppin' wood, growin' veggies, shootin' guns, etc) in case society as we know it collapses when the oil runs out. I recently joined another conspiracy theory forum online called tinyclr.com.
