Hi,

 

I have an old netduino plus which has previously worked with MF 4.1. I have installed the SDK 4.3 and Netduino SDK 4.3 as per the instructions here: http://forums.netdui...vs2012-support/ I uninstalled the other SDKs first.

 

I have plugged my netduino plus board into the PC which is running windows 8.1 using two different USB cables and two different ports and each time the device will only appear in the list of devices as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)"

 

any suggestions on how to get things working again?

Hi John, If you hold down the pushbutton while plugging in your Netduino Plus 1 board, does it show up in Device Manager then? If so, erase the current app using MFDeploy. Then detach and reattach your Netduino. If all else fails...you can erase your Netduino using 3.3V and its erase pad...and then re-flash via SAM-BA and MFDeploy. That will put it back into factory-fresh state. Chris

However the link does not work even if I use IE. Please can you tell me what I need to download?

 

Also, in this page:

it says:

it just doesn't tell me which driver I need to update.

Maybe you figured this out, but the answer was right in your message!  Update the driver for the Netduino (which currently shows "Uknown Device") with the firmware in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Atmel\sam-ba_2.15\drv".  You don't need to tell it a specific file, just that folder it.
