Hi all,

Brand new to the Netduino Go. Was expecting a learning curve, but I've spent all weekend trying to get a response and I have to wave the white flag. It's Sunday night and I've nothing to show for it.

Almost all the posts / articles / videos / etc. I've found seem to be circa April 2012 and it's mostly for VS 2010. Either that or they're for one of the other Netduino products.

Would it be possible to list what is required for a Visual Studio 2012 user to get started with Netduino Go in October of 2013?

I've been chasing my tail with

1) Which version of Netduino Go firmware

2) Which version of DfuSe (to flash the Netduino Go if that is even necessary)

3) Which version of the Microsoft Micro framework

4) What version of the Netduino SDK(s)?

If anyone could provide links, I'd really appreciate it.

I've been down a number of paths only to find out that they only work with VS 2008/2010, a different framework, or a different version of the firmware.

I know how frustrating it can be... Im not at my usual computer now, but when I get there ill check specifics.

Here is from my memory:

1. It works fine with VS2012 with a little bit of trickery.

2. Ill see if I can find the DfuSe version that Im using for you.

3. Micro-framework: If I remember, its not the latest, but the second to latest version. Just like full .net latest is 4.5, but the most widely used is still 4.0

4. Netduino SDK, I think there is a new release with each Go! update, I've been using the latest (should be pinned on this board)

Like I said, Ill get specifics and links when Im back at home. In the mean time, either post back here with any other questions you have. I can help you get it working with VS2012 also.

Hi Theo_IGetIt, The latest firmware for Netduino Go is 4.2.2.1, which works best with Visual Studio 2010 (including Express Editions). You can also use it with VS2012 and the Netduino 4.3 beta SDK, but your best experience (until 4.3 RTM) will be VS2010. Welcome to the Netduino community, Chris

Thanks to both of you. I guess I thought I should immediately upgrade everything to the latest and greatest. I kept pushing forward, so I guess now I'll pull back a little!
