Operating Temperature

Best Answer Chris Walker, 29 July 2013 - 04:11 AM

Hi SteveAndrews, We generally use industrial components that are rated from -40F to 185F. But plastics and SD card slots and other mechanical items aren't guaranteed to be reliable at extreme temperatures. Chris Go to the full post

I am exploring an outdoor application of Netduino and saw the low end of the operating temperature at 32F. Does this mean it will not work under 32F? It will break? Operating will be unreliable? I could foresee usage for this application to be, at times, in the negative farenheit range. http://www.currentre.../US/coldest.php

I've had a Netduino Go! working down as low as -10C and it still works.

Mind you, I had to leave it switched off for a few hours after that test to let the condensation evaporate when it was put back in a warm environment.

Regards,

Mark
